Who am I?
My name is Mark Rhodes and I am an infrastructure guy from Brisbane, Australia. I work as an infrastructure consultant, utilizing various Microsoft technologies to deliver infrastructure solutions to clients.
Who do you work for?
I work as an Infrastructure Consultant for OBS, our of their Brisbane office.
OBS is Australia’s Premier SharePoint Specialist. We help organisations get value from SharePoint through business focused products and solutions. OBS’s expertise has resulted in the deployment of Australia’s biggest SharePoint project as well as the completion of nearly 400 SharePoint deployments in the last 12 months.I have worked in the IT industry for over 10 years now, and most of that experience has been with Microsoft based technologies, with a large chunk devoted to Hosting on the Microsoft Platform.
What do you do when you aren’t at work?
I blog, I try new products, I speak at various events and… Right when I’m not working.
I spend time with my wife and young son.
I have a fairly well equipment wood-working studio under my house.
I try to get out and kayak down lakes and rivers occasionally.
I also take photos of things using my trusty Digital SLR.
and I play lots of video games late at night when everyone else is asleep.
